Unapolygetic was created by skater, artist, and activist, Jhanaiya Smith-Butler. The idea came to her in 2017, when she wanted to create art that represented people who looked like her. She wanted to incorporate her personal art into something that would make people feel seen and proud of who they are. After being met with the disposition that visibility and representation were not important, she transformed her art into a brand that would encourage others to be themselves.
